This course is a basic introduction to the PostgreSQL relational database system. In the course you'll gain hands-on experience with using PostgreSQL to store and retrieve relational data, including SQL queries, using full-text search, creating and calling functions, and relational data design.

In this course you'll get hands-on experience with the MySQL open-source relational database system. The course provides exercises that will help you gain familiarity with the MySQL command-line tools, querying using SQL, and data-manipulation actions (inserts, updates, and deletes). The course also provides an introduction to relational data design in MySQL and concludes with coverage of a few intermediate MySQL features, including full-text search, transactions, access control and subqueries.

Programming SQLite teaches experienced coders the ins and outs of the predominant open-source relational database. Students will gain an understanding of SQLite's capabilities and data types, and will learn to create database schemas, queries and joins.

Application Data Design is recommended to students with some background in Python and SQL. This instructor-led course will teach you how to map real-world business requirements to data structures using data design. Students will learn about relational data types, queries, and importing and exporting data. Also covered are developing data diagrams and models and creating tables using SQL script.
