A Gentle Introduction to the Etsy API

A Gentle Introduction to the Etsy API is a free instructor-led course on how to incorporate data from Etsy into your own website using the Etsy API. Students should have some knowledge of HTML and CSS. Subjects covered include creating an Etsy developer account, querying user data, retrieving and displaying listings and sales data, and more.

  Jason is located in Denver, Colorado and he has been a developer for over 15 years. Most of his experience has been with Java - web applications, fat clients, web services, etc. He was a consultant for many years working for a variety of clients, but eventually settled down into public service in state and local government. In his free time, he enjoys all that Colorado has to offer. He is an avid hiker/backpacker and he spends a lot of weekends up in the mountains trying to get as remote as possible.

Course Outline

Prerequisites

This course shows how to incorporate data from Etsy into your Web site using the Etsy API. The course presumes some familiarity with HTML and CSS. Experience with JavaScript is helpful but not necessary.

Duration and Format

Four weeks. Taught online. Instructor-led.
